How to select an attorney? |
|
A good lawyer will keep a client informed. Ask every lawyer you are interviewing how he/she
does that. Does the lawyer send copies of all correspondence and court documents to the
client? Does the lawyer make periodic reports to the client? You should insist on remaining fully
informed. If you are not well informed, you cannot make good decisions about your case.

What should I look for in a family attorney?
|
|
People who would not dream of performing surgery on themselves will attempt to handle their own legal matters.
Understandably, this can be personally and financially disastrous for the families involved.
A legal practice requires an understanding of the law, continuing education of changing laws, and also experience
with the procedural requirements of our local courts.
When our attorneys meet with potential clients, the attorney balances legal knowledge with the potential
client's unique personal situation to predict a realistic legal result.
Your attorney will be your advocate, but will not waste your time and money pursuing unrealistic goals.
|
|
Can I afford an attorney? |
Only you can answer that question.
Only you can balance the attorney costs with the effects of an unfavorable outcome.
